I want to take the time to thank some important people for helping the creation of this new ministry.
First, I must thank the staff of RCN. Their support in the early idea stage of this project, and their continued support through the start up of this adventure was a Godsend. Pastor Don was the first to jump on board volunteering his car to be one of the first windows to get covered. The rest of the staff was right there lending an ear and even more support and creative ideas. Thank You Pastor Charles for your vote of confidence and assurance that everything will be there when it is time. I will indeed ask for all the power needed to nurture this baby and bring it to fruition.
Second, I must thank my employers, Joe and Nancy Payne of L. Mullins Inc. I had an idea and a purpose but did not have enough funds to get a great start. Without hesitation they gladly sponsored the first graphics to be produced for everyone to see and understand the possibilities of this new kind of ministry. Their unwavering support and dedication to the Lord and his work, has been the wind in the sail keeping this new adventure on course. Thank you both very much for your financial and emotional contributions to this ministry.
Thanking everyone who has helped put this together is a personal pleasure for me. Aaron Morgan, of Fire House Graphics, has put up with me for a few weeks now and has been able to take a thought and paint pictures. I went to Aaron with a lot of questions, a very vague idea, and with a great deal of his patience, he has created the window graphics for all to see. Getting God’s word out in the public eye in such a way that is highly visible and dignified is not an easy task. With the graphic window covers designed and printed by Fire House Graphics, we can let people see the Word of God all the time, in all aspects of life. Thank You Aaron and your staff for all your hard work and diligence for the Lord’s work.
A web site is being created for the purpose of this ministry. It is found at getcoveredwiththeword.com. This web site is printed on the lower left corner of each window cover. It is designed, or at least is in the process of being, for the watering of the seeds being planted. The opening page of the sight contains the Good News of the Lord and a Plan of Salvation. There could be nothing worse than leaving someone high and dry, with nowhere to go after being touched by the words we carry on our windows. Wade Stockton is in charge of “reinventing the wheel”. Giving someone the keys to a new life is an awesome responsibility, and I want to thank you for accepting the challenge. The web sight will contain links to the church, and much more, including how to order a graphic for your own car, or cars.
