MISSION STATEMENT: To spread the Word of God and to “plant seeds” in the unbeliever.
GOALS OF THIS MINISTRY: To show our commitment to God in the community and to bring people to a life with Christ.
HOW THIS MINISTRY IS GETTING STARTED: This ministry had been just an incomplete thought for quite a while. I drive a SUV with a large back window and wanted to make a statement on it. As I traveled the roads on my daily routes, I noticed all sorts of advertising on vehicles, especially concerning sports and businesses. My thought was that in the end, none of that is going to make a difference.
In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus said to his disciples, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
One of the first steps in accepting Christ is knowledge of Him. If we as committed Christians can display the Word of God, or at least a verse or two, in our everyday comings and goings, then when greatly increase the spread of the Word. As we all know, not everyone gets to church on Sundays, however, most of us that go to church on Sundays and such, do buy groceries, shop at malls, have different appointments around town, kids events, you get the picture.
We have teamed up with a local window tinting company and are putting together templates of “seed-planting” verses along with various backgrounds on window vision film that came be applied to the rear windows of cars. You will be able to spread the Word of God throughout all your travels and just maybe someone will ask, “What’s this all about?” Maybe someone is at the end of their rope, the words displayed on your window may change someone’s heart. The possibilities are endless, and I would like to think that this is just the beginning…
